Will the weather at Matheran be nice at this time of the year? Which is the best place to stay with an infant? ~Poornima

Hi Poornima

Matheran is beautiful at this time of the year – in fact rather cold at night. So carry warm wear for all.
With regard to hotels, if you are with an infant then ideally look for your comfort first. Once you are happy and comfortable, the baby will follow cue.
However if you have a toddler then your requirements will vary based on type of food available, option of self cooking, play park, pool

and child friendly activities and rooms.

    hi poornima

the weather is perfect to visit matheran – evenings tend to get a bit nippy so carry some warm clothes.
I have been to verandah, neemrana and its beautiful. its an old parsi property which has been converted into a hotel. Its a 40 min walk from the station if you are up to walking or horse riding. i recommend you carry a sling as the stroller may not be of much use.
We went there when my son was 3 and he had a ball. The other places like byke and brightlands are large properties closer to the station but they tend to get boisterous with large families :)
