A mama-centric hospital ‘to pack’ list.
If you have opted for a home birth please write in and share the experience, else this list is for you who have registered at a nursing home or hospital.
Toiletries: Tooth brush, tooth paste, floss, talcum powder, soap, shampoo, deo, cream, makeup and remover, chap stick, hairbrush, sponge, toilet
paper, towels and handtowels.
Other essentials: Ear plugs, eye shades, tissues, front opening gowns, tee shirts, spare nightgowns – front opening, dressing gown / overcoat, flannel to be used as hot towels to reduce engorgement, socks, chappals, ice pail with cubes – to suck or use in an ice pack, plant sprayer to cool off, hot water bottle, music, books, exercise ball, snacks for the husband / family who might wait with you, camera, nursing bras, breast pads, Lanolin nipple cream or spray, disposable panties, sanitary towels, cell phone, charger and numbers, hair dryer, a rubber ring in case of episiotomy,
diary, paper and pen and going home clothes.
