Wondering if any of you mums out there can suggest a nice venue for a 3 year old boy’s birthday party in Andheri West/Lokhandwala Complex/Versova in Mumbai ? (Either a hall attached to a nice restaurant OR a standalone hall). I do have a caterer in mind but I’m looking for recommendations for a good party planner from the same areas or from Juhu/Bandra. Someone who can do the decorations and think of some fun games to keep the kids occupied. I don’t have much time left so would appreciate any help! Thanks – Nina.

While I have not personally used a venue for a kiddy party in the areas you have mentioned; I have heard of a few that are popular. Based on the number of people you are expecting, you could check out:
Wild Dining, Oshiwara (the jungle theme may be fun for 3 year olds)
Banana Leaf, near Four Bungalows market, Versova
Time & Again, behind Infinity Mall
Kailash Parbat, New Link Road
Classique Club, Raheja
The Club, D.N. Nagar
Most party planners do not coordinate the venue. They may suggest options but you will have to tie that down yourself. Ideally fix your space and then give them a call and get them to do the rest.

A friend has been to a kiddy party organized by Play Time and was wowed by the professionalism in every aspect – the compere, décor (WWF theme) and activities. The children had a blast and parents were happy too.

Thanks Priya for all that info. I had actually already checked out most of the venues you mentioned (except Wild Dining) but didn’t opt for any of them since I was keen to use my own caterer. Someone else had also given me Playtime Jatin’s number so I had spoken to him as well. Anyway I’m now planning to keep it pretty small and am trying to work out something at a kids’ activity centre close to home. That way, I can use my own caterer plus ensure fun activities for the kids:) Thanks again, you’ve been really helpful. I’m sure I’ll use either Fun Faktory or Playtime the next time around !

this is a year late and i apologise for the delay in replying:). last year for my sons 3rd birthday party i finally chose Toddlers
Activity Center (TAC) in Lokhandwala Andheri. They provided some basic decor, kids chairs and tables, and their staff
organised games and activities. they also had their tumble
tots equipment which the kids enjoyed. sort of like a kiddy gym.
i had my own caterer and i also looked after the return gifts
myself. it was their first party at the lokhandwala center
and i was pretty happy with the organisation except that they
were expensive.
this year im once again on the look out for a nice venue in the area

Garden Court Restaurnt in Andheri (W) also has a birthday
party hall attached..however, they do the catering.

There is an activity centre at the end of Hill Road called Windchimes. Clean, safe, big and open for the kids to run around.
