The Dora’s Kitchen ensemble allows your little chef to bake a pie or cook some breakfast with none other than Dora for company. I think that was the main draw for buying this set, the moment our daughter heard Dora’s voice say ‘It’s yummy’ she was smitten. The folding kitchen can certainly cook up a storm, with adorable accessories like ladles and even ready empanadas and fried eggs, the whole mix of things is very inviting for any little chef. The kitchen includes a fridge with opening door, oven that opens too and knobs that turn, a stove top, removable sink with moveable spout, map, backpack and lots more accessories. What the kids seem to like the
most are the turning knobs, the phone with the removable handset and Dora’s voice guiding them through playtime at the kitchen station. What I liked most was that it was foldable and I didn’t have to take up space in her already stuffed room for yet another huge toy.
Though the age reference on the pack says 3 years +, I personally felt it was better we bought it when our daughter turned 5. Now she has a genuine interest in house play, has learnt to include friends in the game and is able to look after all the pieces that accompany assemblies like this kitchen. Since it is light and portable, we have a lot of fun bringing it into our home kitchen where mommy and baby can play together and get some real cooking done. All the dishes are easy to wash and have
in the kitchen set so can be put away easily too, so many times I give the kids a little dough and few greens to make their own real/fakefood! Good fun!
Dora’s Kitchen is available at all leading toy stores. In Gurgaon you can find it at Reliance TimeOut in Ambience Mall, Landmark Store and at Lifestyle.
