of books from floor to ceiling and they even spill out onto tables outside the shop. He has organised his collections author-wise and has separate sections for kids, young adults and adults. Although there are no
labelled demarkations, it’s easy to navigate to the area you are looking for.
L’Amour has old books, new books, classics, Indian authors, magazines and sometimes DVDs and VCDs too. On our visit to the store we spent almost 2 hours browsing and came away with over two dozen books and a few complete TV series. The books are almost all in
perfect condition and most are sealed in plastic but not of the variety that you see being sold off streets. These books are the real deal – no typos and pages missing. Montu turned out to be an excellent guide as he assisted me in the difficult task of selecting books for my 12 year old niece. (If you don’t want the typical chick lit or the Harry Potter styled books there’s apparently almost nothing for this age group).
L’Amour has something for everyone including the kids, though most kid’s books here are suitable for age 5+. It is also a lending library and operates on the basis of membership; which is superb for the bookworms in the area. The other fantastic part is that you can come home with a box full of books without having burnt a hole in your pocket. Everything is on a huge discount throughout the year and if you like Montu will even buy books from you for his collection.
