“If there was one place I could be

I think it would have to be under the sea

If you think there’s nothing there

You’re in for a surprise, to be quite fair!”

If, like me, you love beautifully illustrated, easy to read, wonderfully imaginative books for children, you will adore this set of three magical books that children will love, and learn from. They are also the perfect gift to give. I was the lucky mum who got to buy the first copy for my kids!

‘If There’s One Place I Could Be’ (which is my

3 and a half year-old’s absolute favourite), is about a little girl, Anahi, discovering a wonderful world under the ocean, full of coral, fish, turtles, sharks…

‘If There Was One Thing I Could Be’ has little Vir imagining what it would be like to be a

bird… flying, swooping, diving with all the colourful inhabitants of the skies.

‘If I Lived In A Treehouse’ is about the same little girl and boy discovering and exploring the unique homes of various animals and birds.

The books are brought to life by three people passionate about what they do. Artist and animator Prashant Miranda’s vivid, lively, happy images (I am a huge fan of Prashant’s sketches!) painted in vibrant, almost glowing watercolour are inspired by Kalpana Subramanian’s thoughtful, playful verse, all beautifully put together by Vinay Diddee who has turned publisher for his own company, Little Latitude. (Anahi and Vir and based on Vinay’s own children!)

I’m very impressed by the quality of production too, which is truly international.

I have seen a sneak preview of the yummy new book in the series, coming out soon, ‘The Party In The Sky’, and I really can’t wait to get my hands on that one too!
